I recently saw a poll that said that 60% of Americans would like to vote out the entire government and just start over. The only surprise to me was that the percentage was not larger.

Washington is truly broken – and no one seems to have any idea how to fix it. Our politicians are addicted to spending money (borrowed money at that) and there is apparently no rehab available for government spendaholics.

I am still working on a video about See the Music of the Market – it takes a huge about of time to produce a video of only about 6 or so minutes. However, it is keeping me out of the markets most of the time – and with the situation in Washington, that is probably not a bad thing.

TBL is telling me – more often than not – that the reward is just not there to justify the risk – particularly with the political unrest that has the market on edge.

If the nuts don’t get it together this week – and soothe the markets nerves – some real serious damage is possible – both in the stock market and particularly in the bond market.

Personally, I do not have a warm and fuzzy feeling about our financial future in this country. Debt is out of control – and history tells us that out of control debt leads to serious consequences.

I fear that the markets in the near future will offer no safe haven for investor – which is all the more reason to be a very short term trader.
